In the age of COVID-19. How the pandemic has affected children's rights

To guarantee the reception of migrants and ensure the protection of their health due to the emergency epidemiological various measures have been adopted in Europe, such as the extension of the reception projects of the municipalities, the possibility of hosting migrants in the centers in derogation from the provisions in force, the extension of the validity of the residence permits.

However, what about children, refugees and migrant children?

In the article intitled: "Migrant and displaced children in the age of COVID-19: How the pandemic is impacting them and what can we do to help", published in the 10th Anniversary Issue of the Migration Policy Practice, seems clear that facing many challenges and barriers, migrant and displaced children stand to be hit hard by the socioeconomic impacts of COVID-19.

With regard to the special and fundamental role of courts in international human rights law, including in situations of emergency, we mention a relevance guidance from a human rights and rule-of-law perspective published by the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), together with the last briefing paper outlining measures affecting the court system and access to justice which have been introduced in response to COVID-19 in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
